And that anniversary has given us time to look at where we have come from… and where we’re going. Palintest’s brand-new Pooltester features a stylish, vibrant new design, but one of the standout features is that the entire case is made from 100% recycled PET. The use of 100% recycled plastics in the case is a great benefit to both retailers and end-users with strict sustainability goals, and Palintest aim to consider sustainability as a top priority in all new product development going forward.

Palintest exists with a simple but crucial purpose; to safeguard water for everyone, every day. It is this purpose that guides us in all we do. After an extensive review and realignment to this purpose, Palintest has decided to withdraw our soil testing range of products from the market. Our Soil Test range has enjoyed many years of success and we are proud of the positive impact it has had on agricultural communities globally. However, in order to focus on our core water analysis technologies, our Soil Test range will be retired.

Lead exposure, through the contamination of drinking water, can have major health implications. It is vital that municipal authorities can employ accurate testing methods to identify sources of lead contamination. Multiple techniques including Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP/MS) and Anodic Stripping Voltammetry (ASV) can be used to detect lead in water – in this article we review these methods in more detail.
