In 2017, the first ever Swimming Pool technician course was introduced at a school near Milan. Designed to improve synergy between education and entrepreneurship, the course was organized by ProfessioneAcquaNet, and supported by a range of Italian pool companies.
The idea is to develop a 3 years course called ‘Technician for design, installation and management of swimming pool systems’. The course has generated interest across Italy, with reports of the course circulating across Italian TV and media.
The concept enables Italian students to select a course which helps develop their career in the industry. In addition to the course which uses 24 hours contact time, the top performing students will also be offered work placements with companies associated with ProfessioneAcquaNet.
Supporting this great initiative is Palintest’s Italian distributor, Chemartis. The Chemartis team worked with ProfessioneAcquaNet to deliver two sessions over six hours, which covered the following topics:
Throughout the training, the students were introduced to a number of Palintest solutions, performing tests with Palintest pooltesters, test strips and the new Pooltest 10. By introducing the equipment and testing methods, the students can see how academic subjects, including chemistry, is used in real world situations to improve safety and technology solutions.
